From 2004 through 2009, Leib was president and CEO of Media/ Professional Insurance, the leading global underwriter of specialty errors and omissions insurance, including media liability, miscellaneous E&O, and cyber/technology insurance. Leib has extensive industry experience in these fields. In 1997, Leib joined Executive Risk (later acquired by Chubb), where he founded the company’s media liability program and was the author of the Multimedia Liability, NewsMedia Liability and Safety’Net Internet Liability products. Leib later managed all errors and omissions business for Chubb’s western zone. Prior to entering the insurance industry, Leib was an experienced attorney specializing in First Amendment and intellectual property litigation. Leib practiced at the Washington, D.C. law firm of Williams & Connolly, where he represented many of the firm’s media clients, including The Washington Post and the National Enquirer. He earned his J.D. summa cum laude from George Washington University National Law Center and his B.A. cum laude from the University of Maryland at College Park.

From 2004 to 2007, Deb served as the CEO of Aon Underwriting Managers (AUM), where she had operational responsibility for managing the Aon-owned Managing General Underwriting Agencies (MGUs). After leaving AUM, Deb served as chief administration
officer for Aon Re Americas. Prior to joining Aon, Deb was the CEO
of CNA Re. She also served as CFO for that operation for five years, from 1995 to 2000. Deb brings years of relevant underwriting, pricing and operational experience to the ThinkRisk team. She is a Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and a Member of the American Academy of Actuaries. She has served on both the CAS Continuing Education Committee and the Joint Program Committee for Reinsurance Seminars, and has participated in several industry panels and presentations. She has a B.S. in Actuarial Science, having graduated summa cum laude and bronze tablet from the University of Illinois.

Jim Steer joined ThinkRisk in January 2010. From 1988 to 2009,
Jim worked at Media/Professional Insurance in Kansas City, MO.
In his 21 years of service, Jim held positions of Asst Treasurer,
VP-Controller, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. Jim's areas of expertise at M/PI included Accounting, Finance, IT
and Operations. Jim's areas of responsibility included rate change modeling, premium and expense budgeting and sophisticated data mining. Most recently, Jim managed the development and implementation of a web-based client tracking, rating and billing computer software system for both admitted and non-admitted products. Previously, Jim worked as a Bond Salesman at Commerce Bank of Kansas City. Jim earned his B.S. in Accounting/Business Administration from Kansas University and his M.B.A. in Finance
from Rockhurst College.

From August 2000 until July 2009, Chad was the national practice leader for Media and Intellectual Property at Marsh. Chad worked with Marsh offices nationwide to serve clients in a wide variety of media and related industries, including broadcasting, publishing, advertising, and all forms of Internet communications. Prior to joining Marsh, he was senior vice president at Media/Professional Insurance, the leading global underwriter of specialty errors and omissions insurance, including media liability, miscellaneous E&O, and cyber/technology insurance. In his 20 years at Media/Professional, he served as head of the media law and claims department and was responsible for the company’s marketing. Chad is a regular speaker and moderator at forums presented by organizations such as National Association of Broadcasters, Radio and Television News Directors Association, American Bar Association, Practicing Law Institute, American Conference Institute, Copyright Society, DRI and others. Chad earned a B.A. from Colorado College (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa), a J.D. from the University of Colorado, and completed the coursework for an M.A. at the School of Journalism at the University of Missouri Columbia.

Michael Born joined ThinkRisk in May 2010 to serve as Senior Vice President and Underwriting Manager. Michael has extensive experience with all facets of specialty professional liability insurance. From November 2004 until May 2010, Michael was vice president at Media/Professional Insurance, the leading global underwriter of specialty errors and omissions insurance, including media liability, miscellaneous E&O, and cyber/technology insurance. During his 8 years at Media/Professional, he managed the claims department for the company's professional liability programs including cyber and technology, miscellaneous E&O, lawyers and accountants. Michael was also part of the senior management team and worked closely with underwriting to develop new products and promote the business to brokers, customers, reinsurers and others. Prior to working for Media/Professional, Michael practiced insurance defense law in Dallas and Chicago and as in-house counsel for American Family Insurance and Zurich American Insurance Company. Michael is a frequent speaker and panelist on various topics surrounding the cyber liability and miscellaneous errors and omissions insurance industry, including presentations for PLUS (Professional Liability Underwriters Society), RIMS (Risk and Insurance Management Society), IRMI (International Risk Management Institution) CLM (Counsel on Litigation Management) and the ASAE (American Society of Association Executives). Michael earned his J.D. from Boston University School of Law and his B.A. with honors from Washburn University (cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa).
